Our client, a mining Multinational company is currently looking for Senior Engineer Design and Senior Mechanical Engineer to be placed in Sumbawa. Please find below the description and requirements for this position

SENIOR ENGINEER DESIGN

Job Description

  1. Provide senior level engineering design and technical service within the Process Maintenance Department.
  2. Develops subordinates and coordinates all engineering work but takes and active role in performing all duties of a fully qualified design engineer. 
  3. Review and critique work of others in the department for technical correctness.
  4. Ensure all subordinates present work to originator and obtain satisfactory acceptance sign-off.
  5. Ensures that all work is properly documented, filed and recorded for future reference.
  6. Performs all functions of senior technical consulting, conceptual design and cost estimation; provides engineering drawings/specifications; obtains construction bids; and performs construction management as required.
  7. Develops personnel to perform field measurements, and observations for equipment trouble shooting.
  8. Interfaces with Environmental and Loss Control Departments to obtain approval to proceed relating to environmental and safety issues.
  9. Acts on behalf of the company in design and coordination of facilities affecting the company and other outside or adjacent firms.
  10. Provides data interpretation with recommendations on vibration analysis, oil analysis, wear materials non-destructive, gear wear monitoring/failure analysis, process related changes, and equipment failure history analysis; supervises precision machine element alignments as required.
  11. Performs drafting/CAD machine duties; reading blueprints; interpreting technical specifications; estimating costs; composing reports.
  12. Performs technical review of stress, strain and deflection analysis; performs technical review of bearing and power transmission design analysis.

     

    Requirements

    1.      University graduate or higher in Engineering.

    2.      Ability to audit the use of precision measurement instruments & tools.

    3.      Competent in the use of MS Office and CAD programs.

    4.      Minimum 5 to 10 years work experience in design engineering.

    5.      Prior supervisory experience in directing engineering department activities.

    6.      Proven problem solving skills and ability to function with little or no supervision.

    7.      Proven leadership capability.

    8.      Ability to function and support multiple disciplines.

    9.      Intermediate spoken and written English language skills.

    10.  Ability to direct and coordinate CMMS programs.

    11.  Capable of enforcing regulations relating to construction sites and processing operations.

    12.  Ability to compile parts, service manuals, and technical reference documents.

    13.  Good communications skills with a proven ability to motivate subordinates.
